Rockefeller Center and Career Services offer "Go Government" Webinar Series this Fall - RSVPs requested

Are you interested in successfully finding and applying for federal positions? This special three-part webinar series is designed specifically for individuals seeking government jobs and internships, and is open to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as other alumni in the Upper Valley area. Faculty and staff that would like to learn more about current opportunities in the federal government are also encouraged to attend to gain additional information that can be shared with students they are advising. Participants will hear from Partnership staff, federal employees, and agency recruiters, and will learn how to best leverage their skills and experiences to find the right federal fit. These sessions are offered by the Partnership for Public Service, and will be broadcast here at Dartmouth in the Class of 1930 Room at the Rockefeller Center.  Staff from the Rockefeller Center and/or Career Services will be available at each session to answer any specific questions about Dartmouth resources to support finding and funding internships and career opportunities in the public sector. Landing Your Dream Job or Internship Thursday, September 20 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. EST This webinar is for students interested in finding and applying for federal internships and jobs, as well as those advisors looking for more information about federal opportunities to share with their students. During this session, we will highlight a number of exciting internships and jobs across government, and show students how to research, find and apply for an internship or job that is right for them. Decoding the Presidential Management Fellows Application Process Tuesday, October 16 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. EST The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is frequently cited as a highly prestigious program in the federal government. This student-focused webinar will teach graduate students how to submit a strong application, show them how the program has changed with the implementation of the Pathways Programs, and provide insight into what happens after their application is submitted. Additionally, you’ll hear from new fellows, as well as agency PMF recruiters. Register today to expose students to the best ways to execute every step of the PMF application process. Federal Intern and Entry-level Hire Roundtable Wednesday, October 24 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. EST Does anyone really read my application to a federal job? How can my resume stand out in USAJOBS? What will I actually be doing at my federal internship? Students will hear the answers to these questions and more from entry-level hires and interns who have successfully—and recently—completed the federal application process. Participants will learn about what these successful applicants did to achieve their coveted federal position and what types of projects they are working on now.
